Description

Bring history, culture, and writing together with this Native American Project. Children as young as second grade can research and write a report successfully using this printable report template. Each of the eight content pages have boxes for illustrations and lines for writing, which encourages children to include both.

To make learning more memorable, add a hands-on element with the project piece. Have children choose to make a model, create some jewelry, clothing, or artwork.

For both the report and project, 3-point rubrics are included to help children know what to do and to help parents score their work if desired. The rubrics are designed for second-third grade, but can easily be adapted. Blank rubrics are included for your own customization.

You can help your child succeed by using the report graphic organizer, for taking notes while researching, and using the project planning sheet, for thoughtfully planning their hands-on element.

18-Page PDF Download Includes:

• Report title page
• 8 Report pages (for specific information on geographic region, homes, clothing & dress, food & diet, arts & crafts, beliefs & traditions, what kids do, interesting facts).
• Blank lined page
• Bibliography
• Project description sheet
• Report Rubric
• Project Rubric
